Gifts of Nature: Amazing Paintings by Cancer Survivor Pegiane Moore
I always knew this woman was highly creative. As a young girl, I would LOVE to go upstairs to see what she was doing next. While I don't claim it, I was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. From the age of 7 or 8, we lived in this huge house on a hill across the only golf course in Gary. It was a two-family dwelling. I don't remember at what age that Pegiane and her husband Jeff moved upstairs, but they became "family" to me and mine.
Eventually, she and I had developed a special connection or bond. There were things she knew about me or that we could talk about that I never could with my own mother. Growing up, Pegiane helped fill part of that void for me. She is a #WarriorDiva in her own right as some years ago she's had her own battle with cancer.
As far back as I can remember, she's always had a paintbrush or stencil in her midst. So, it is with great honor that I share her amazing talents with you from a recent online article published on nwi.com (Northwest Indiana Times). Her phenomenal artwork is actually on display thru July 11th at the Crown Point South Shore Arts Gallery in Indiana.
To my knowledge, she's "self-taught" and simply a "natural" artist. Her works are breathtaking!
